Breaking Down
"I feel almost well today. Dawa made French toast for breakfast. It was delicious, and I don't even like French toast! I only got a slight tummy ache, but I think that was from caffeinated tea. Cipro is pretty muck like a nuclear bomb for the intestines, so things like caffeine is usually a bit too hard-core.
We got invited to the family who lives by the end of the lake, but being the Cipro addict in the group, I got exhausted half way, and had to turn around. It's sucks when walking on flat ground makes you bonk."

"Back at base. Nothing much accomplished. Except that we broke down camp and took everything down. Now that was a shitty endeavor, to say the least! We had so much stuff! Mark and I threw out a ton of food. The worst part was trying to haul all the stuff down. So we filled four big bags with shit, and a big duffel that we had to drag off the mountain, besides our monster packs.
To put it mildly, it sucked ass. It was the hardest going down I have ever experienced. Waist deep snow over big boulders."

"I have, just as I expected, learned a lot about myself on this trip. I'm not a particularly giving person. I like my stuff and I don't like sharing. I sometimes have a hard time accepting others and I am really quick to pass judgment. Anything good? I'm stronger than I thought, both mentally and physically. I do, however, bonk. And when I say bonk, I mean bonk! And I think both Mark and I have seen sides we didn't know the other person had. Some pleasant, some not so. Funny how that goes. I miss my ring."
