Nakchu
Nakchu is the size of a mid-range American town with a floating population of up to 100,000 unregistered migrants. The bustling commercial hub is full of restaurants, shops, karaoke bars, brothels disguised as barbershops and the ever-present streetside pool tables. Impressions - cold, windy, noxious diesel fumes, brash concrete buildings and goats eating burning garbage.

"Woke up anxious as my heart pounded from lack of oxygen. I knew we needed more food of the type we’d eat a lot of - especially honey and jam. In my old partner Pasha’s words - "Clever people will always find compromise. I went to a modern type grocery store and bought the jam - and other stuff - all this made me feel much better - another detail I didn’t have to worry about... Mark is a distant person - closed - having Carina around only makes him more distant. I want very much to get closer. It’s a pity that we haven’t climbed together more..."
